AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. It is the 11th leading cause of death in the U.S. and in Illinois, suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for ages 15-34 and the 4th leading cause of death for ages 35-44 but it can be prevented. Suicide is a serious public health issue, and we need communities, businesses, and individuals to help actively fight this preventable loss of life.
