2019 Partnership Opportunities

Purchase Sponsorship

Partner with the Illinois Chapter of AFSP in sponsoring the largest suicide prevention walk in the country, the Out of the Darkness Chicagoland Walk on September 21, 2019.

We are committed to reducing the annual suicide rate in the United States 20 percent by the year 2025.

Why Support Suicide Prevention?

Nationwide, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 10-44

Every 11.9 minutes an American dies by suicide

Offer support to those affected by suicide

Provide a significant and powerful voice in mental health and suicide prevention advocacy efforts

Create and implement educational programs

Research into the causes and treatments of mental health to enable suicide prevention initiatives

But we can’t do it without you.

The 2018 Chicagoland Walk raised more than $1,000,000 and was the first Out of the Darkness Walk to reach this milestone. With a 30% increase in registrations in 2018, totaling over 7,200, the conversation about this leading cause of death is changing.

Your organization can be the forefront of this change by supporting the Chicagoland Walk.
