Help save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide
October 2, 2021
The Out of the Darkness Chicagoland Walk is the largest suicide prevention walk in the country benefiting the Illinois Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This special event provides community, connection, healing, and hope for survivors of suicide loss and those with lived experience.
We know it has been a difficult year with the pandemic, but we are cautiously optimistic that we can bring people together again for an in-person walk. Additionally, we will have a virtual component for those that may not be ready for an in-person event. The health and safety of our participants, staff, and volunteers will be our top priorities as we work with local authorities to make decisions about event details.
Every dollar you raise through the Chicagoland Walk allows AFSP to invest in life-saving research, education, advocacy, and support for those impacted by suicide.
